Did y'all know I was pregnant? Not that you'd find any evidence of the past 18 weeks on the blog. For whatever reason, posting about pregnancy just hasn't happened. I'd had great intentions this go 'round to faithfully take weekly belly pics and post them in some sort of weekly feature... maybe "Waddling Wednesday" or something. On second thought, maybe we're all glad that didn't happen.
In just over a week, we will head to the doctor for the "big" ultrasound. First and foremost, we hope to go and see a 100% healthy baby. Then, the next big question will be BOY? or GIRL? To be honest, I had been toying with the idea of NOT finding out the gender this time. We've had the pleasure of bringing home both a blue and pink bundle in the past, so really, there is very little for us to do as far as gender-specific preparation is concerned. The trouble is, names. Choosing a name can be hard, and it's proven to be more difficult this time, than ever before. In fact, we've put all conversations on baby naming to a halt, until we know the gender. Because as Nathan pointed out so astutely, half of the naming problem is solved once you know the gender.
However, if you ask Trevor... it's as simple as can be. In the beginning, regardless of gender, Trevor demanded the baby's name would be "Jack." period. no discussion necessary. His idea has evolved somewhat lately, giving us a couple of more options...
"Trevor, what should the baby's name be if it's a girl?"
"Jesse."
"What if the baby is a boy?"
(you guessed it)
"Woody."
Hmmm. Suddenly a daughter named "Jack" doesn't sound so bad. Check out the handy poll to the right... make sure you vote and let us know whether "Jack" will be wearing pink or blue!

I think I've told you my vote (girl) but I did vote here too! I think it's a girl because of how yucky you felt from the beginning. So excited to hear!
