Ten days before Trevor's first birthday, he quit the pacifier- cold turkey. And while it was certainly no picnic at the time, it was nothing compared to what I fear lies in store for our sweet baby girl.
In (...choke...tears...) 22 days, our Tatum Lane will be a YEAR OLD. At this point, her brother was knee deep in "Big Brother Boot Camp" and was dropping naps, paci's, and bottles like a crazy baby. I must admit, it's been a nice change, not having that looming sense of anxiety and fear about the changes around the corner. We've stayed pretty relaxed this time about milestones and the "shoulds" or "should nots" of baby's first year.
So, yes...she loves her paci. It hasn't really been a problem. Until maybe now:
I've never actually known a baby to literally throw herself head-first into the floor and kick her legs in protest... I have a feeling our sweet Tatum is going to keep things very interesting around here!
PS. I know, I know... I must be a terribly mean mom to force my kids to take pictures with Santa, and stage a paci-intervention just to video the reaction. I know.

Oh that is too good. I have 0 advice about pacifiers. I'm all for them but my kids all either started chewing on a blanket or sucking their thumbs at 4 months??????I have no idea why they all three abandoned their pacis. What did I do wrong?! Ha
That is hilarious! I laughed out loud!!
Just watched it again. That is hilarious. I totally do stuff like that to my kids :) If we show Joy her bottle too soon she starts hufffing and puffing and then breaks into a huge cry. I know Cody does the same thing when he sees his bottle--I think he kicks and gets really excited. My mom used to chase my sister around with the vacuum because Emmy was so scared of it. Cruel? yes. Funny? Oh yes.
I wasnt sure what to expect coming over here to read...but you made me laugh out loud. First the Santa picture.... FUNNY stuff. Then the melodramatic (sp?) almost forced tantrum over pacifier.... going to be good stuff to show future husband. LOL
Happy Holidays.
