Today is the day!...

Here we go again.... once again, I find myself blogging to distract myself from the sounds of my baby girl crying in her crib. She's quitting cold-turkey, the paci that is, just like her brother did. I'm hoping very much that she follows his lead, and decides very quickly the paci is something she doesn't need.

Oh my... she's screaming as loud as a little girl being chased by the boys on the playground....Time to go sing "Baby Praise Christmas" songs with Trevor... loudly.

Speaking of... my little man just walked in here saying "Oh no, Mommy... forgot Tatum's paci!" That's almost creepy, it's not as if I said anything about it, and he certainly can't read. I guess he's just one perceptive little dude that hates hearing his sister cry as much as his mommy.

And man, oh man... mommy hates this.

*update* After 23 minutes, she's now quiet and sleeping peacefully. Not too bad... hoping she never looks back! ;-)

*update 2* After about 30 minutes of sleeping, she woke and would NOT go back down... this nap is normally a two-hour one! Mom's showering routine cut short...wet hair up in a hat for me today! Looking forward to loooong afternoon naps for both my kiddos!

*update 3* Both kids have been snuggled in their beds asleep for 1 hour, 45 min. Baby girl stirred for about 5 minutes before falling asleep. Tatum, you rock.

Hang in there!!! We did it with Ryder, too! It is heartbreaking to listen to them scream, but well worth it.

Rustin won't take a Paci...instead he sucks his hand..I don't know what I'll do down the road...I can't cut his hand off, LOL!

Tatum does rock. Joy, I will be cutting my girls' hands off when they go to kindergarten so I'm with you. Both thumb suckers!! But I never had to break them of a paci so I'm lucky. Ty chews a blanket so maybe if Tatum has trouble a lovie would help?

What do I know. Seriously it's all just such a mystery what soothes each kid! Lol. You're welcome. :)
