Trevor, bored? NEVER.

The kitchen tops Trevor's list when it comes to finding a new and exciting place to play in our house. Today, Nathan and I did a "clean sweep" and did a lot of cleaning out of cabinets, etc. that normally don't get much attention. It would appear that Trevor considered our efforts to be fantastic improvements on his playground:

This evening, Nathan was out running an errand while Trev and I hung out at home. I was in the living room picking up books, listening to Trevor play happily in the kitchen. The sound of cookie sheets and muffin tins banging on the tile floor is all-too familiar and I thought nothing of it. After a few minutes though, Trevor started to whine and it sounded like he might need some help. I walk in and discover this:

I'm sure the fact that I ran to get the camera, rather than rescue him from his plight, had NOTHING to do with the angry expression on his face ;-). Actually, a few minutes after I took this shot, he figured out how to get out on his own and proceeded to climb in and out 3 or 4 more times! Never a dull moment.

I love this! Our two are so much alike! Poor guy looks terribly uncomfortable with that one foot wedged up high, LOL! This reminds me of a week or so ago when I found Ryder fully clothed playing in the bath tub (no water and it was not bath time)....makes you wish you could get inside their little minds so we could see what they are thinking! What day is you C-section scheduled...its close, right??!!!

That's hilarious! That will probably be one of your all-time favorite pics of him later on--One day soon he'll be like, "Mom, that was SOO yesterday's fun thing!"

He looks so big in that photo in the oven drawer. Too funny. How are you holding up? I keep thinking about you. Getting ready?

Okay a few answers to your questions...I used the baby bjorn with her until she outgrew it weight-wise, which for her was about 4 months old. When I had to take them both somewhere I'd put her in that and him in the single stroller. I didn't use the double until she was 4 months old, not that you couldn't. Mine is Maclaren, (a Christmas gift for both kids from my in-laws,) and it was pricey but I think any unbrella-like side by side stroller would be my recommendation. My thinking was that yes it's easier right at the beginning but both of my kids outgrew the infant carrier by 6 months (did Trevor? I know he was a big one!) so once that happens you won't be carrying the infant carseat in anywhere...and think of the years ahead where you'll need and want a stroller you're happy with, without fighting over, "Who gets to sit in front?" I am really glad I got one in the style I did...I know Jeep has a good one, Peg Perego also and both are available at Babies R Us. I know it's not the brand that makes the stroller it's just the functionality that appealed to me. It was my mother-in-law's idea to get the one we got-I'm not a brand snob! :):)

Oh and p.s. just yesterday they were fighing over a toy and Carley said, 'Are you still glad you have that style?!' She had a point...but yes I still feel like it's been entertaining for both of them to look at each other.

Do you like how I never fully comment and it takes me two or three times to finish? If you're worried about Trevor adjusting to her it would likely give you extra time if he still gets to sit in his same stroller a little bit longer...just a thought.
