My blood pressure was slightly up, not surprising considering the size of my cankles at this stage...but it wasn't high enough to be alarming. The best news (okay, maybe not "best"... lest I sound shallow)...anyway, some great news is that my weight remains two pounds UNDER what I weighed at my last appointment with Trevor. That is surprising considering I started this pregnancy about 15 pounds heavier than I was with him. Watch... Tatum will be a 6 pounder (as opposed to Trevor weighing 9lbs.) and she'll get all the credit for my lack of weight gain!
I'm also excited that our search for the "perfect" double stroller is over. For whatever reason, I began obsessing over this stroller thing early in this pregnancy and had been frustrated by it time and again. On that note, thanks to every mom-of-two for your advice... it really did help (even if ultimately we didn't go with your recommendations!) ;-) We found a fantastic deal on a stroller that would have otherwise not even been considered due to price. It is called the Zooper Tango (see photo below):
The reasons we picked it:
- It's a side-by-side vs. tandem (front to back) double stroller- after pushing around a few front-to-back models, the side-by-sides seemed much more maneuverable. Yes, they are wider and could create a problem in some narrow hallways...but, ultimately, we decided it was best for us.
- It will accommodate an infant carrier- this was a factor that had me stuck for a long time. I knew I didn't want to purchase a stroller ONLY because it would accommodate and infant carrier...because really, once they're big enough to be out of one (which with Trevor, wasn't too long), you don't need that feature. But it can also be a huge convenience factor for transferring a sleeping baby in and out of the car and into the stroller. This is one of the few models that will accommodate the carrier we already have.
- The seats are roomy- If Tatum is anything like Trevor, no one will ever call her petite. Therefore, the added shoulder room is a good thing.
In other news...it would appear Trevor has picked this week to transition from two naps to one. I'm hoping desperately that it's a fluke. He has been SUCH a good sleeper... taking two 1.5 to 2 hour naps per day. As I type, he is now in his crib screaming instead of sleeping. YES, he took over a 2 hour nap this morning for which I should be thankful.... but man, this week? Really? Time to roll with the punches I suppose...

and that color is "wheat" - just thought I'd clarify since it COULD look pink at first glance...
I love it..... colors and design and all....
Oh and mama since you know you will be busy in just 9 days..... maybe we should update the holiday blog so your blog doesn't stay "christmacy" for the next 12 months. LOL Just messing with ya.
I am so excited for you girl. Keep us all posted, no hiding from blogging for more than 2, maybe 3 days at a time except for the days you are in the hospital. We will let you slide on those days. LOL

I'm so excited for you guys! I can't wait to see pictures.
Great choice!! You will love the side by side--I really didn't know there was such a thing as one that also holds an infant carrier-problem solved!! Good luck with the transition nap thing--charlie already gave hers up so after the transition is over it's actually nice--Tatum will sleep so much in the beginning you can hang out with him in the a.m. Exciting that it's so close! How did you get your dr to do a noon c-section?? Mine pics that first one in the morning so you have to be at the hospital by like 5:15-You start out with the new baby totally exhaused!
