This was the first time in three years that we didn't go with a "themed" Halloween. Case in point...
2010
2011
2012
Trevor was adamant that he would dress as "Batman, the Brave and the Bold" and Tatum wanted nothing to do with anything "SUPER" this year. What I love? With the exception of Trevor's Batman costume (which was a birthday gift from my mom), The kids' costumes were 100% thrifted. Trey and Tatum's costumes were $6 TOTAL!
Here is Miss Tatum, dressed as "Wedding Day Repunzel." I know she must have explained a thousand times that No, she didn't need long hair, Repunzel's hair was already cut and brown when she got married!
Here she is with her trusty frying pan. Trevor's defensive move was real. He was really afraid she was going to hit him. To be honest, I have no idea whether she was planning on it, but ultimately she didn't.
Poor pitiful Trevor. He woke up the day before Halloween throwing up. As the day passed on Halloween, I really thought he was going to be able to trick or treat. He'd been fever free and symptom free for 24 hours... until very late afternoon when his fever spiked and all the fun was done for him. He and Nathan stayed home while Tatum and I went to trick or treat with friends. Trey hadn't been feeling well either, and was in bed before it was even dark.
Thankfully, because I was worried Trevor might miss out on the fun, I'd let him wear his super suit all day. Here is a picture of my two superheroes after we dropped their sister at school.
