First Backyard Campout...

I think this past Saturday was one of our busiest EVER. In the morning, we had Trevor's baseball team party at the park, came home for lunch, decided we'd throw together a backyard campout and hurried to grab everything we needed (ie: tent, fire pit) then headed to Tatum's last soccer game. After the game, we quickly went to work setting up the night... and oh, what a night!

Three kids in footie pajamas. Footie pajamas are one of the only things I love about cold weather.

Because we are mean parents, or maybe the smartest parents ever, we decided to put Trey to bed in his crib before ever taking the big kids outside. He was blissfully ignorant of what he was missing, and was sleeping like, well, a baby.

First time with S'mores. Neither of them finished them. Tatum claimed they were too sticky, Trevor claimed they were too sweet. (I don't know whose children we're raising).

The tent... Cozy air mattresses included. To our surprise, the kids did fantastic and slept through the night (for the most part). Nathan was the brave soul who toughed it out with them while I stayed inside with little man.

They even watched "Little Bear" before bed.
It may have been the first, but it will NOT be the last! Love. Love. Love.
