A weekend of new beginnings...

Relaxing in our new wagon... which, by the way, is by FAR the single best purchase we've made this summer. Many thanks to the little red clearance sticker that saved us a hefty penny on our Radio Flyer! Of course, I had to post the itsy-bitsy polka dot panty picture! Our girl is making it more and more clear every day that she is ready to potty train. To be honest, I really don't share her enthusiasm... even so, we're gonna give it a shot (sigh). We've had a pretty rough go of the whole P.T. thing in this house, (note her older brother wearing a pull-up while standing beside her?) It's a hard thing to bite off another challenge when the first one is still...well, a challenge. Who knows, maybe having each other's moral support will seal the deal!?
Trevor starts his first day of preschool tomorrow! We had meet-the-teacher on Friday, and he absolutely loved it. Thursday night, he introduced his face to the leg of an overturned wooden step stool... which is why today, nearly 5 days later, his eye is still shades of yellow, green and blue!

Over the long weekend, I went to work sewing a nap-mat for my boy. For this novice seamstress...(as in, I've sewn only twice before this,) the nap-mat was a super-huge challenge! I think it turned out fairly cute. It is far from perfect, but this face right here gave me the best nod of approval I could ever imagine.
And to make things even better... I decided to let him do a trial nap on it today at home. Much to my surprise, he's out cold, sleeping peacefully in the middle of his bedroom floor. Awesome.

Um you may now call yourself a seamstress.

That is awesome! I'm so impressed! Since Ty doesn't nap at school we're just making his old nap mat hers. I know, I know, I'm inspiring. My mom put her name on it does that help?

Potty training-I have no advice whatsoever but I'm excited for Tatum that maybe she will be diaper-free before Charlie! Ha!

See you tomorrow...

I think you did an awesome job on the nap mat. If you need more practice, you can always make Prestley one :) As far as potty training, I think Tatum will be much easier. I don't know if it's true but supposedly girls are easier to train than boys. Prestley has been trained for a long time now but we've just recently started letting her sleep in panties. So far so good.

Heather...your nap mat is precious and amazing! I love Taters little tan lines in the pic of her and Trevor! Potty training will come...as soon as you set your mind to it will happen when it happens...it will just click. Tell Trevor good luck tomorrow! Love you guys!
