Big Brother Boot Camp- Part 2

I recognize, it's been less than 24 hours since I posted about beginning Trevor's cold-turkey separation from his beloved paci... nonetheless, I think we've accomplished complete success!

His first nap yesterday was a good long one, and his second nap was as well! The main difference I've noticed with him not having a paci is that he is not as content to play in his crib when he wakes up...but really, that's no big deal! He went down at night, settling himself within about 10 minutes, and woke up happy as a clam at 7:00am!

Thanks for your encouragement everybody! (And yes, Mary... we will be checking bottles off of our list soon.) The poor kid is now officially on the fast track to brotherhood! Anything we can do now, to make things easier later, is fair game! The hard part is keeping myself in check so that I don't become panicked about our time frame and start pushing him too hard, too soon. I just keep reminding myself to take it one thing at a time....

Oh! And speaking of baby steps... we've finally captured some of Trevor's on video! He is so proud of himself! It's adorable. The usual disclaimers apply (please excuse mom's horrendous appearance and cheesy baby cheers, the dirty house, the barely dressed baby, etc. etc. etc.)...

Well Good! I let your last Blog motivate me and did not put Ryder's in bed with him last night either! I have found the exact same thing is that he just fusses sooner in the morning for me to come get him, but once I get him he is perfectly happy! Matt was like, "You need to listen to her! I've been telling you this.", LOL!!! We beat the bottles out of the picture over 2 months ago, because he was never a real bottle boy anyway..once I gave him a cup he'd much rather have that. That one should be easy for ya!!
