What Childhood Dreams are Made of...

The kids took a trip to the famed Frisco Fire Station this morning, and boy, was it a blast! Trevor insisted he dress for the occasion in his fireman Halloween costume from 2 years ago! He truly walked in like he owned the place. Tatum told us she was "feeling shy" as we walked in and Trevor made sure his little sis always had a buddy. Her "shyness" quickly disappeared and little miss independent emerged... love them.

Here they are with their buddy, Caleb...

As the firefighters (who would lead our tour) entered the lobby, the exchange with Trevor went something like this:

Trevor: "Hi fire-man."
Firefighter: "Hi fire-man."
Trevor: "Hey guys... where's your team?"
Firefighter: "They're all here, where's your team?"
Trevor: "Well, this is my friend Caleb, and this is my sister, Tatum."

We took a look at the kitchen, the sleeping quarters, the movie room, and then it was on to trucks...
Heaven for this boy.
Miss independent treated each truck like it was her own. She'd stand at the door, holding it open (or so she thought) while everyone climbed in and out. Finally, after standing here while all of their little friends climbed aboard, Tatum turned around and shrieked "Mommy! It's MY turn!"

I love this picture. It's very "Little Rascal-esque". The looks on their faces are priceless.
Here they are checking out the gear... and trying their hardest not to push buttons.
Sometimes, they seem so little.
Mommy and my babes...
Posing with their new hero... I love that he crouched down for the picture, and the kids ran over and sat down in the same pose. What a wonderful day! A super big thanks to the Frisco Fire Department, for the excellent way they do their jobs daily, and the love they show to their littlest fans!

Your mommy and babes pictures are always so fabulous! You inspire me to hand off the camera and record a few more of those moments myself!
