Last night, I went shopping for some new fancy duds for my munchkins. We have a super cool trip to Cali planned for a wedding in late September and my mission was to find something for the kids to wear. I may or may not have scored an adorable little number like this for my girl... love it! Then, this morning, I raided Trevor's closet and played dress-up. Trevor was responsible for the accessorizing (ie: sandals and backpack).
When I saw him I was simultaneously smitten and saddened. Because, you see... there he was standing proud, sporting his shiny new backpack. He's been wearing it around for days pretending to "go to school." He has everything he needs to start preschool- the backpack, lunchbox, napmat... everything except the preschool. He's been on a waiting list since last spring, and it's taken every fiber of my being to not become a tangled, worried, anxious mess about it.
I'd already cropped the photo, and titled this blog message... I was ready to succumb to my anxieties and write a long, venting post about the frustrations of preschool. Then, today, just before lunch, I got the call!
"We have a spot for you," she said.
That long, heavy breeze you felt sweeping across Texas was my sigh of relief. Let the fun begin!

He is going to have so much fun!!! Ryder has been asking me all week to "Go to School and see Ms. Martin"...she was his summer camp teacher. I love how cute he is and I love that he is not going to be heartbroken now!
