Baby Steps...

It's time. It's time I began taking some responsibility for the fact that I have a closet full of clothes I can't wear. Don't say it... I know. I fully recognize that I've been pregnant for two years and that any reasonable person's body would likely suffer some...damages...as a result. Regardless, it's been nearly 6 months since I reclaimed my body as my own and I really don't have much to show for it.

I'm not an over-eater, but a junky, grab-what-you-can eater. And if I'm being really honest, a lot of times, I'm a grab-a-can-o-Dr.Pepper-instead eater. I'm not into radical diets (previous sentence excluded), or super strenuous exercise. I'm too self-conscious to work out in front of my husband, much less the glaring masses at a local gym. So we're starting VERY simple, people. I'm ridding myself of my crutch, my vice, and my friend. I'm saying good-bye to Dr. Pepper.

I've also decided that for the next 30 days, I will do nothing different with my diet, nothing different with regard to exercise... to see if removing Dr. Pepper has a positive effect on my waistline. I'm more curious than anything. Oh, and I plan to dress my children in these t-shirts at least twice weekly for motivational purposes...

and THAT is why God made my favorite drink...Diet Dr. Pepper! You can get used to it I promise. I had to give up the real thing many years ago because of blood sugar issues. It's the best!! You look fabulous by the way--

I think you'll be surprised how much just cutting out the sugary drink will do! You will get used to the Diet D.P. I like it better than regular now...takes some getting used to, but once you do...you'll never go back! And you looked absolutely perfect in your girls night picture! I hope I look that good 6-months post baby!
