We had one of those moments too...and like Trevor, my boy was massively too big for the infant carrier. The weight limit is too low in my opinion--Here's hoping you don't follow my lead and need to buy ANOTHER "big kid" one within this year to make room for another baby :) Not that it is a bad thing, it is just a little pricey!!
