Rainy weather is not a friend to a mom with small children. Particularly if said small child has the energy of an F-5 tornado. There are really only two remedies to cabin fever... creativity (thank you, Joy, for the painting tip!) and new toys. We decided after Trevor's birthday last year, that we would hide away a few of his gifts, so that we'd have an arsenal of new "distractions" for Trevor once Tatum arrived. The one thing I've been dying to bring out, is his Little People Noah's Ark...and this week, we even had copious amounts of rain to go with it! So, the lesson of Noah and his amazing plastic ark has been under way for a couple of days now. Part of that lesson involved introducing Trevor to all the players:
Mom: "Trevor, this is a zebra, can you say Zebra?"
Trevor: "Zee-Zah"
Mom: "This is a lion, what sound does a lion make?"
Trevor: "Rarrrr"
Mom: "This is an elephant, what sound does an elephant make?"
Trevor: (lifts arm in trunk-like motion) "Wooooh"
Mom: "This is Noah, can you say Noah?"
Trevor: "Oh-Nah".... which has since morphed into "Oh-No."
I find "Oh-No" far too entertaining to ever correct him.

Great toy-we have one and I have no idea where any of the animals are...and amen to the rain messing up our schedules :)
LOL! I love the "Oh No"! What a good week to learn about the Arc!!
Oh and "Oh No" was one of Ty's first word combos and it still is my favorite thing! I used to say, "Oh No!" when he disobeyed me and he would use it in context like when I dropped something of his or when I told him it was time to leave the park he'd say, "Oh No!" Hilarious. His new one is "It's okay," which is mimicking us saying that to him at the beginning of EVERY FIT, trying to calm him down. So funny how they do what we do!
