Trevor, I am SO proud of you. You are the most patient, tender, kind, and loving little guy. I could have never imagined that in just a year, you would have developed the understanding you'd need to handle so much change. It's never been more clear to me that God has designed you in a perfectly unique and wonderful way. So often I think that His plan for you is a plan that will start when you're older, but I see now that His plan for you unfolds a little each day. You're smile and your laugh light up any room. When things become hectic, and I become weary, it's your smile that reminds me to do everything I can to never stifle your spirit. Thank you for being YOU, little one- you make me a better mommy.
Today, after running errands, I came home with two very tired babies and needed to put Tatum down for a nap. Putting Tatum down involves taking her upstairs and leaving Trevor unsupervised- sometimes it takes a while. This scenario could have easily been a recipe for disaster. Instead, Trevor walked inside, climbed up on the couch and sat still as I turned on a Baby Einstein video (or "nine nine" as Trevor calls it). A few minutes later, once Tatum was down, I came downstairs to find him like this:

He hadn't moved, except to grab a book. What a sweet, sweet, boy.
As for sweet Tatum... we had a little fun today with the camera. I'm no photographer- definitely a "point and shoot" kind of girl. All of you super-talented photographer friends of mine... don't look too close!

Very, very sweet..... he looks so grown up and big in that picture too. And that sweet baby girl....AH, love it.
Isn't it amazing how all those thought you felt while pregnant...and now that she is here, you realize just how deeply you love BOTH of your babies with all your heard and soul.
I think you did a great job on your photo shoot!! That outfit is precious! I take hand-me-downs...LOL
Great job on Trevor--the video is your friend during these times girl. Don't be afraid to use them strategically when you're busy with her...I can remember putting him in a high chair, parking him in front of the TV with Baby Einstein on, and bathing, rocking, feeding, whatever needed to be done. I'd try to reserve his favorite video for when I really needed to be with her for whatever reason...and it always worked.
And you know, he didn't talk for a while and I worried it was because between the ages of 14 mo-18 mo. he watched so many videos but HE STARTED TALKING AND IS FINE! LOL
Oh and P.S. I really will meet you at the mall-especially if that mall is Willow Bend--sometime soon.
You make BEAUTIFUL babies, Heather! So, so, sooooo sweet. And those are great pictures!
Heather- Trevor is absolutely breathtaking! He is getting so big!! And for the record, I think you did an amazing job with Tatum's pictures...definitely frame-worthy in my opinion! She looks like an Angel!
Your babies are such a delight! I'm proud of Trevor being such a responsible boy! :) And Tatum's pics look fantastic! Way to go, mom!
