It's time for another post regarding our most-of-the-time-beloved dog "Goliath." For those who may be unfamiliar with said dog... let me explain that Goliath came into our family within months of our marriage, taking his rightful place as our first born. We spoiled him rotten and very much treated him like one of our children. (Notice the intentional past-tense verbiage?) That is because since Trevor came into this family, Goliath has "struggled" to find his place.
He has been guilty of pretty much every petty doggy-sin known to man on a daily basis, including eating Trevor's toys, socks, pacifiers, and Trevor's food (of course with Trevor's help!). He has also resorted to incessant barking (to the point where I began to believe Trevor would begin trying to bark before trying to speak English). And this weekend, we bitterly forked over a good chunk of money to have the entire carpet in the house steam cleaned and de-dogified in preparation for Tatum's arrival. (Her bedroom had become one of Goliath's most sneaky pee spots.)
While Mr. carpet man painstakingly scrubbed, enzyme treated and vacuumed our floors, we spent much of the afternoon outside with Trevor and Goliath. Trevor was enjoying a ride on Daddy's shoulders while I pushed the empty stroller and wrangled the dog. For kicks, I decided to seat Goliath in Trev's stroller, just to see how he'd react....
His reaction, proved EXACTLY what we had all suspected. In Goliath's eyes... HE is our baby and always will be. Trevor seemed fine with this arrangement. It should be noted that once placed in the stroller, Goliath happily enjoyed the entire stroll home and remained in the stroller (by his own choosing) while watching the rest of us play in the front yard.

This is hilarious!!! I have a neighbor down the street with a little dog just like Goliath and she rides in the bottom of the stroller (where you keep bags usually) while the kids are strolled around! We've had the same trouble, our girls are big though..so not as easy for them to sneak around. We had them for 7 years before Ryder got here...so old and set in there ways. I selfishly have banned them to the backyard a lot of time. Now that he can walk and kind of stand his own, I am working hard at letting them back in the house...Trevor gets cuter every time you post a picture of him...how is that possible!?? I'm glad you found a solution to the glider! O.K. enough from me!! Have a great Monday!
soooo cute! what great pictures that you'll look back on and remember before Tatum was born. and think...trevor can push HER around soon too!!
you don't have to explain doggie issues to me--obviously i understand the frustrations!
Priceless!! Love this post!
