We are planning on moving the glider and ottoman out of Trevor's room and into Tatum's. HOWEVER, it is BRIGHT red. It is a fantastic upholstered glider that we splurged on so I definitely would want to use it again. The trouble is, how do I make it match (can be beige, pink, yellow, green...anything but RED!)? I've looked online for slipcovers, but haven't found any that will work that wouldn't cost the same as buying another cheaper glider. I've contemplated making a slipcover, but wouldn't know where to begin to do so. To make matters slightly more tricky, the chair has a rounded back...

What color is her room? It's a pretty chair!! I'm totally depressed because we had a glider from my sister-in-law for both other kids and we already gave it back...and it's already recovered sitting nicely in her house. Yikes a new baby without a rocker!

To be honest, I think you should keep in in Trevors room. You will still use it for him I am sure. And instead of getting a fancy expensive one, get a nice dark wood glider and a cream color fabric for $160 or so at JC Penney's. That is where I got mine.
I am usually pretty creative, but the way I see it..... yea you splurged on it, you will still get its use in Trevors room, so do take away his rocking time in his room, or have that chair to read him books in in HIS room.
Get another chair, just not super expensive one.
