Respite for the Weary...

Oh, my friend Baby Einstein. Trevor's love affair with you is a great one. There is nothing that stops Trevor dead in his tracks like the sounds of the Disney logo flashing into place on the TV. Even better, is the smile that creeps across his face when that little caterpillar bounces his way onto the screen in classic Baby Einstein style. He then sits nearly motionless, captivated... adorable.

Poor Goliath has been sick since last night. He was up once an hour during the night (barking at the foot of our bed) really needing to go out and potty. He was having tummy troubles continuing throughout today and therefore went to the vet this afternoon. The vet thought it was likely Goliath had "gutted" one of his toys and ingested a bit much of the stuffing. So, Goliath came home with some meds and a 2 day supply of special food.

Recipe for Disaster:
1 Incontinent, vomiting dog
1 Reflux afflicted baby (with perpetual "spit up")
5 "Dirty" diaper changes (yes, FIVE!)
1 Pregnant mommy (with a heaping helping of morning sickness).

Combine above ingredients, watch as mommy repeatedly turns various shades of green.

Needless to say, Goliath REALLY needed a bath, and daddy was kind enough to give him one. It had been a looong time since Goliath had a bath at home. We were reminded how much our "baby" soaks up that TLC...

Ryder has been having around 5 to 6 dirty diapers a day here lately. I actually took him to the Doctor, not just because of that, but a multitude of crankiness and desperation as to what had happened to my sweet boy...answer: teeth and reflux. I guess the combination of teething and the reflux can cause all the dirty diapers which resulted in a horrible diaper rash, burning in the tummy and sore gums which in turn equal screaming baby! Hope you start feeleing better soon!! I think I remember at like 14 to 15 weeks I felt a world of difference, so hopefully if you can just hang in another month, life will be grand! Thinking of you every day!!!

Hang in there Heather! Cole was the same way when it came to Einstein. We shall see if Canon does the same very soon.
