Until he learns to blow his nose...

Poor Trevor. He's been coughing, wheezing, and full of the crud. We went to see the doctor yesterday and she reassured us that his wheezing noises were nose related and not lung related. His lungs are clear, so no concerns today about any major breathing issues. She suggested more saline drops, a steamy shower, and a pillow under his mattress. The whole pillow under the mattress thing seemed like a good idea. After wrestling the bumper, a quick sheet change, skirt adjustment and re-adjustment, the pillow was in place. The incline wasn't too much or too little-it seemed perfect. The morning after, however, the pillow plan seems incredibly ill-conceived. I guess I had forgotten about gravity. Twice (maybe three times, who knows?!) last night, I click on the video monitor to check on Trevor and find his feet were nicely elevated. It looked as though he'd come down a slide head first. So, maybe we'll re-think the pillow thing tonight. Although I have a feeling I'll likely resign myself to waking up a few times a night for a couple days to properly position Trevor until this junk goes away! OH, and Trevor had a weight check at the doctor! At 5 months, 1 week old, he now weighs 20lbs 6oz! I think the pic says it all-just look at those legs!

Girl I know it's not funny when your baby's sick - Abby threw up a couple times on Friday and it's really scary. However, it is funny that he can work himself around like that. Sometimes I go into Abby's room and she has completely gotten out of her swaddle, turned her head over, and covered her face with the blanket. How do they do that? By the way he is darling (still).
