Also, Trevor had a follow-up appointment today and his doctor felt that his wheezing has improved since Tuesday. He told us to continue the reflux meds and breathing treatments and referred us to a pediatric pulmonologist to further investigate whether his reflux may be causing him to aspirate.
Oh, and how's this for twisted humor... I asked the doctor for some tips on getting Trevor to take his reflux med, which is a dissolvable tablet. The exchange went something like this:
Me: "We've tried dissolving it in formula, but he really doesn't like it. Do you have any suggestions?"
Doc: "You could try breaking it up into smaller pieces and holding it in his mouth for a moment."
Me: "Will it dissolve fast enough? I'm worried he might choke on it."
Doc: (chuckling) "He's usually choking anyway."
Okay, it's really only funny because he was totally kidding. I love that he can be light-hearted, yet take things very seriously.

Ha! I am assuming it is Prevacid he is taking..Ryder is/was on it as well. You can have it compounded at the pharmacy into a flavored liquid, BUT only compounding pharmacies will do it (so not your Target, Kroger, Walmart, etc...) and insurance usually won't cover the compounding because they don't feel it is necessary. I on the other hand strongly disagree with them. They are obviously not at home with the little guys to see what they go through! The Good news is that when Ryder hit 6 Months it magically disappeared for the most part! Hang in there, I'm thinking of you guys!
