"There are only two emotions in a plane: boredom and terror." ~Orson Welles

As mentioned in the previous post, we traveled to California this weekend. Most of Heather's family lives in California, and this was the first opportunity for many of them to meet Trevor. He was a trooper throughout the trip, dealing with the jetlag, strange places, and what must have seemed like millions of new faces! We also learned the day before we left that his bottom teeth were coming in- so the poor little guy was dealing with teething pain as well! Here are some highlights.

Trevor on the airplane watching a Baby Einstein DVD-
the little headphones were hilarious, and perfect.

We had the same conversation with nearly every person we encountered with Trevor. It went something like this:

Polite person: "Oh, what a cute baby."

Us: "Thanks, we think so!"

Them: "How old is he?"

Us: "Six months."

Them: "Goodness, he's a big boy!"

"Big" may have been subsituted with "healthy," "good sized," "stout little guy,"... you get the drift. It wouldn't have been note-worthy had it not happened with 9 out of every 10 persons we met.

We stayed with my mom during our trip which meant Trevor was surrounded by at least 10 people at all times...most were children.

Here is Trevor enjoying some morning TV with his uncles Gauge and James...

Trevor's uncle James kept a close eye on a fussy Trevor in the car...too sweet.

And we went to the beach of course!

By the way, this is a cool beach- they let you drive your cars onto the sand and park wherever you want.

A rare family photo...

Trevor played "Super baby" with daddy on our way back from the water...

On Sunday, we went to see the Scott side of the family and forgot the CAMERA! Then Monday, we went with Mom to Hearst Castle... the views were breathtaking!

We really had a great time and I already miss my family incredibly. We are happy to be home and finished with traveling... Trevor is sleeping again which makes everything right in our world it seems! ;-)

When did your parents move to CA? Glad you guys had fun! Trevor is perfect...Don't let the comments make you think anything different! Someone told me recently that Clara was a "strong baby."

whoever invented the portable dvd player was a genius! It totally saved our sanity on our seven hour plane trip to Mexcio- until it ran out of batteries with 45 minutes to go.
You can only turn the lights/blowers on and off so many times before mom wants to order a martini despite being four months pregnant. How did our parents get along without technology? oh yeah books- I think they were still drinking back then!

The DVD player was definitely a life saver on our many trips home to TX while living in Iowa. Looks like you guys had a fun time!

What fun and great pictures. That's okay about the "healthy boy" comments. Mine is only 2 weeks and she already gets them too. LOL

Hunter loved the baby einstein videos and we shall see if Morgan will too.

PS: How did you make that picture of Trevor in the first introduction box for your blog? I see you, Allison, and Mandie all have something cute with pictures in yours and I am clueless as to how to do it?
